Western Iowa Tech Community College offers a customized English language learning program that is targeted to help your Spanish-speaking employees establish an English language baseline that focuses on improving workplace communication.
This 22-hour course includes an initial assessment of English language ability that is essential to determine a baseline of need and ability to track learning, as well as the type of instruction that will be delivered for each proficiency level. Learning is not likely to continue and be implemented if there is not recognition and support throughout the company. Learning a second language takes time and application, it is crucial to encourage and support continued use and application of the language outside of and once the training is completed.
Conversational Spanish
Western Iowa Tech Community College offers a course that provides businesses an overview of the culture and language to be able to speak Spanish with limited and targeted proficiency. This program focuses on those areas that would be common conversation in the workplace, such as common expressions and courtesies.
This 12-hour course includes a basic understanding of grammar skills as a foundation for usage and apply Spanish pronunciation of specific terms that are applicable to today’s work setting. No prior knowledge of Spanish is necessary!
