Project SUCCESS is a support program for special education students requiring transition from secondary to a postsecondary program at Western Iowa Tech. The main objective is to complete their IEP goals (executive functioning/employability skills) with the plan of working toward gaining a Western Iowa Tech certificate, diploma, or degree in their desired career field; ultimately obtaining employment in the career field in which they are trained.

Eligibility

  1. Between 17 and 21 years of age and classified as a high school senior
  2. Enrolled in a high school special education program
  3. Referral from designated school district and IEP team

How To Enroll

  1. Complete and sign Student Referral Form from high school
  2. Complete Western Iowa Tech Application
  3. Interview with Project SUCCESS staff
  4. Students who plan to attend Western Iowa Tech in the Fall semester are required to have the above enrollment items completed by March 31

Upon completion of the student's IEP goals, the student will be awarded with a high school diploma in addition to any earned Western Iowa Tech credential as appropriate.
