This certificate prepares you to rebuild manual and automatic transmissions. Upon completion of the certificate, you will be prepared to complete fundamental tasks related to transmission repairs and replacements.

All Auto Technology students are required to have their own personal tool set to use for classroom/lab projects. You will be in the lab and working the first day of class and tools are required. View the Tools and Purchasing Procedures

All students must attend the summer Program Orientation, or must meet/contact their Automotive Drive Train program advisor prior to taking their first course.

All part-time students must meet with an Automotive Drive Train program advisor to develop a sequential Plan of Study prior to taking their first course. (failure to do so may result in the student taking longer to complete the program)

Students must take their program core courses in sequence, and during the same semester as is reflected on the published Plan of Study.
