This program is designed to prepare you for office administration and bookkeeping positions in a multitude of work places. You will become fully immersed in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) on both Mac and Windows dual operating systems. This certificate teaches theory, concepts, and skills as opposed to other schools which only offer specific courses and certification. You gain experience in team collaboration and public speaking for the business world, and gain access to real-world share technology such as Google Docs and Sharepoint. Course work includes bookkeeping and office procedures and machine skills using computers and electronic calculators.

You will enjoy small class sizes and one-on-one time with faculty. Program faculty bring real-world experience to the classroom as Office Managers, Accountants, and Attorneys with Graduate or Juris Doctorate degrees. Guest speakers with industry experience and past graduates of the program are often invited into the classroom.

Graduates of the Bookkeeping and Office Support program have found employment at find employment locally at Sabre, Tyson, Ho-Chunk, Seaboard, Wells Dairy, medical and financial offices, large law firms, Mercy One, Unity Point Health, and the Court House as general ledger, inventory and payroll clerks, assistant bookkeepers, and other related jobs. Other graduates go to on to earn their four-year degree.
