Classes for Teens

Western Iowa Tech offers professional driving instruction for teens, ages 14-17. The class gives 30 hours of class time and six hours of behind-the-wheel training for you to learn parallel parking, freeway merges and lane changes, accident prevention and driving in different traffic environments. Drive times are held throughout the week with the exception of Sundays.

Considerable classroom time is spent on the effects of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, railroad crossing safety, sharing the road with bicycles and motorcycles, and ways to safely handle emergency situations such as stalls, breakdowns and blowouts.

This program follows State of Iowa Department of Transportation and Department of Education guidelines. Contact us today to register for a class.
